Reconciliation

ReconEDGE KR RealPage

Run up to 50 bank reconciliations at once: one RealPage Transactions register and its bank export per row. Reversals and voids are first paired with their original register entry, descriptions count only when they share a distinctive word, checks match only by check number, and every amount-only match is marked for review. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Register layout is fixed: A Date · B Reference · D Desc 1 · E Desc 2 · F Type · H Amount · I Bank Match Status. All queued bank statements must share one layout; the mapping in step 2 is applied to every pair, and a bank file whose headers differ is skipped, not guessed. Rows without a date are skipped.

How matches are decided

  1. A Reversed or Voided register row is paired with its original register row first (same settlement id, check or ACH number, equal and opposite amount). If the original payment really left the bank and came back, both legs match their own bank rows instead.
  2. Reference matches: exact or normalised reference; check numbers must be identical.
  3. Description matches need a distinctive shared word. Generic words (Settlement, Payments, Service, Management, months, years) and any word on more than 8% of that bank file's rows never count.
  4. Checks match only by check number; AP "ACH" payments match only ACH bank rows.
  5. Grouped matches (one bank row to several register rows, or the reverse) need that word on every row in the group.
  6. Amount-only matches (unique amount on both sides, or a non-round amount) are suggestions and stay yellow. There is no date window; when several bank rows fit, the one nearest the register date is used.
  7. NSF / ACH-return rows match BILT debits or returned items only.
  8. Every match names its evidence and the days between the two dates in the Evidence column.
